GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a standardized exam used by business schools worldwide to evaluate applicants for MBA and other graduate management programs.

The GMAT Focus Edition includes three sections:

• Quantitative Reasoning – 45 minutes
• Verbal Reasoning – 45 minutes
• Data Insights – 45 minutes

Total duration: approximately 2 hours 15 minutes

The GMAT Focus Edition provides a total score between 205 and 805.

Each section is also scored individually. Business schools consider both the overall score and section-wise performance.

• 550–640: Average range for many programs
• 650–700: Strong and competitive
• 700–740: Very competitive for top B-schools
• 750+: Excellent / top 10 percentile

You can take the GMAT up to 5 times in a 12-month period and 8 times in total. A minimum gap of 16 days is required between attempts.
